Welcome to Vintage Indie™ 2009! Meet Editor, Gabreial Wyatt & Family

Welcome to another year at Vintage Indie on-line magazine. I can't believe it has been two years since I first started on this journey of vintage bliss with you. Vintage Indie has come along way since the beginning  and has transformed into something so spectacular by the inspiring artists, designers and business owners like yourself. I'm so glad to have each and every one of you back again to share our love for Modern Living, Vintage Perspective.

This year I wanted to start off with a little introductory of sorts for those of you who don't know me very well and for those of you who have been a reader of our magazine for awhile, but wondered how it all started.  If you haven't visited our About Page you'll find this clip of information about how Vintage Indie came to be.

"Vintage
Indie
started out as a love for all things vintage, vintage inspired
and antique related. Being a mother and an entrepreneur herself,
founding editor Gabreial Wyatt has a passion to support independent small businesses and artists.

It
is our goal to give life to older things once disregarded and blend
them with the world that we live in today. Find useful do-it-yourself
projects, handmade goods, inspirations, books, events and products to
render that feeling of nostalgia in today's fast paced society, all
while supporting the independent business owner."

All of this stands true today and we look forward to growing Vintage Indie  again with you this year.

For the first time, my little family and I had a photo shoot back in October with an amazing and inspiring Kentucky based photographer. I've been itching to show you the results, but needed to wait until the holiday's were over since we surprised our loved ones with pictures this year for Christmas.  I would love for you to meet Alicia of Alicia C. Photography an aspiring student in photography and graphic design.

Our family shoot consisted of a stroll around town, candid and "mug shots". We had so much fun, our boys melted our hearts all day long.

Me left with my better half to the right, my wonderful supporting, loving and caring husband. We'll be celebrating 6 years in April, I can hardly believe it.

We did have a lot of color shots, but I've always been a fan of black and white. I loved how these turned out, Alicia did a wonderful job, and was wonderful to work with.  That's me again to your left with my oldest son on your left and my youngest love to your right.

These two are the reason I'm a huge supporter of work at home moms and dads as well parents who are fulfilling their dreams as business owners. Each one of us have our own stories of why we work so hard to do what we do as parents, but it all boils down to making a better life for those little guys and my family as a whole.

This year I'm looking forward to promoting you, your hard work and what you stand for and love so dearly. I hope you'll continue on this journey of sharing our passions, our hobbies and the little things in life we all treasure the most.
Here is to a new year!

I would love it, if you are in the Kentucky, Ohio or Tennessee area to contact Alicia C. Photography for your all of your photography needs. She has done some wonderful work for independent businesses product photography, wedding photography, family portraits, on locations shoots, portfolios, senior portraits and more.

Have a great week everyone! Up next a new feature Making the most of Monday! Come back here to participate!
