Sacrifice
As I woke up this Veterans Day morning, I realized that this Veterans Day would be very difficult for so many families. Although, I'm sure it is never easy. I can't comprehend what it is like waking up daily with a loved one gone on military duty. I can't even fathom what wives, mothers, fathers, husbands, brothers or sisters do each day without their loved one being just a phone call away. Military families sacrifice so much.
One definition from Webster Dictionary defines sacrifice as, destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else b : something given up or lost. I define what you do as selfless.
Whatever your reason is for joining your particular branch of the military, you are ultimately making a sacrifice for my family, my children and for our freedom. For this, I am truly grateful. My family and I will keep you in our prayers and hope that you can find comfort and peace today.

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. – 2 Corinthians 3-4. NIV (Whole Chapter)
Amen.
Thank you for your beautiful thoughts today.
That is such a comforting Bible passage. I believe God will give comforts and strengths to the military families that needed them most. I also believe that Our God will not take any sacrifice for granted. He will repay them with countless blessings.
This is such a nice a post. I hope a member of a military family will see your post and be comforted by it.
Have a great day, Gabreial. I love your blog, by the way. ^^
This is beautiful Gabreial. We have a resident in out retirement community who survived the Bataan death march of WWII. He’s a very special man and we gave him special attention yesterday. One can’t begin to understand the tragic situation at Fort Hood. But to any military family that might be reading this thank you just doesn’t seem big enough but I thank you for your sacrifice.
