Vintage Fashion Forward – Street Style Profile – Magdalene “throwback novelty”

We've shown you all kinds of Vintage Fashion Forward ideas here on Vintage Indie, but today we are going to the street. Today's Street Style Profile comes from Magdalene from RETROMUS-IK.

What do you like to call your vintage/modern style?
My term of preference would be the oxymoron "throwback novelty". A modern twist on old clothes.

What are your favorite ways to incorporate vintage fashion into your style?
My favorite way to incorporate vintage fashion into my look would be by
wearing a vintage dress with more modern accessories. I adore wearing
dresses, and I love being unique without worrying that someone is
wearing the same outfit as me. I also like pairing a loud vintage shirt
with a simple pair of skinny jeans.

Do you have any suggestions for those who are getting into mixing and matching vintage and new?
Have fun mixing would be my number one advice! Invent yourself a
character: for instance, I said to myself one day that I wanted my
outfit to scream "career woman who wants to look classy yet sexy". So.
I put on my red vintage dress, wore my black pumps from Payless ShoeSource®, and
put on my leopard print bracelet my good friend brought me back from
Mali.
