As mentioned earlier Glitter & Grunge is here with us for a special month celebrating art. We are excited that they’ve sponsored Vintage Indie this month for such a wonderful occasion.

If you haven’t browsed Glitter and Grunge then you may be wondering what an artist co-op site is.

Each member of Glitter and Grunge has their own artist page at the website. This allows them to gain more exposure by listing their blogs and sites. If a customer visits and likes what they see they can click the links and get to know the customer more. This sponsored type co-op allows each business to grow and blossom, which is the core purpose of Glitter and Grunge. (parts of this obtained from original interview here with Glitter and Grunge).

If you are an artist looking to gain more exposure to your work, network with other artists and grow your business then Glitter and Grunge is a great opportunity for you. For membership information email Glitter and Grunge by following this link.

What’s in store for members? Things like an Artist Challenge held each month. This past September’s challenge topic was Childhood.

A few examples from this month;
Gretchenac_2

Gretchen of Chichiboule

Sunny Days Print

Fond memories of sunny days and deep blue waves, taking you back to childhood.  Soft blues accented with yellows and pinks.

Lenaemayac

Lenae May of Windlwood Designs

This
was a fun and touching piece to make! The base of these sculptural
boxes is reminicent of vintage pulltoys and the boxes can hold
treasures untold!

This month Vintage Indie has challenged all the artists of Glitter and Grunge for a special contest.

The challenge –  Modern Life, Vintage
Perspective

Only
One Rule –  it has to incorporate something vintage into the mix, it
can be ephemera, rick rack, a photo… anything vintage.

We’ll showcase
them on Vintage Indie and let our readers vote on a winner!

Come back here later in the month when we reveal the entries and ask for your vote!
