Weekend Shopping Report – Burlington KY Antique Show

A couple of Sunday’s ago, my family along with my mother in law packed it up to the Burlington Antique Show. Held the 3rd Sunday of every month at the Boone County Fair Grounds in Northern Kentucky.

The Next Antique show is on August 19th. Just a few tips below to help you see everything and enjoy your visit.

First, pack lightly and wear comfortable shoes. If you have a wagon or stroller, bring it. I went the antique show ever since I was a little girl and it was hot and I didn’t enjoy it as much then, but I guess that’s why I love it now. If you decide to leave the kids at home, bring the wagon anyway, you’ll want it to cart around your finds!

The Burlington Antique Show is a 26 year show hosting over 250 antique dealers. You’ll want to head out early, as early as 5am for the early bird specials. Admission is $5.00 per person from 5-8am. Children Under 12 Years are FREE. You’ll find some of the best picks this early in the day and it’s not so hot.

It was very hot that day we went. I highly suggest taking a small backpack cooler with ice water. There are small concession stands, but it’s nice to pull out a cold one when you need it.

Some of the booths are under the horse barns in partial shade,but you’ll want to also pack the sunscreen as most of the show is among the fairgrounds outdoors. 8am-3pm is regular admission of only $3.00 per person, children are free and so is parking.

I love it when the dealers take the time to really draw you into their booth with a great set up. Isn’t this table and chairs adorable!

Tip – Take your camera! We want to see some of your favorite booths and fabulous finds!

Lastly, hang around for close up time later in the afternoon. Most of the time dealers will take reasonable offers becuase they don’t feel like packing it all up again. This is more so for furniture and dishes which take the most time to load.
