Monday News – Week of September 15th

Good morning everyone,

I’m sure this past weekend was a long one for many. I hope that everyone is safe and things are moving in a more positive direction for you. Yesterday, my family and I spent the entire day right up until bedtime without any electric. With severe winds, winds that knocked down trees and even uprooted them. Debris and trees that claimed the lives of three people in our tri-state area.
I explained to my boys what had been going on with the weather and explaining how many people had to leave their homes. We want you to know that there are many of us in the community from all over the United States that have you in our prayers. So for today we’d like to remind you to hug those around you, hold them tight and remind them of your love. Give hope to a stranger that needs a morsel of strength. Give someone an encouraging word to them to keep pressing on. You never know when your ounce of goodness will be just what they need to keep them on a path of moving forward and rebuilding.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Have a good day everyone,

  1. What a great quote! My prayers go out to everyone that has been touched by the storm, even in here we have had wind damage, tree’s down etc but that is nothing compared to losing so much more. Thanks for the post to remind us, and thanks for the great quote- I am going to use it today!
