Indie Weddings Month 2012: Photographer Interviews – MI BELLE PHOTOGRAPHY

Please help me in welcoming MI BELLE PHOTOGRAPHY serving Westlake Village, CA. and out of town weddings.  

 Can you tell me a little bit about how you got started as a photographer? 

josh was raised in photography. his dad was a professional. michelle's aunt was also a professional so both of us had strong influences very early in life. 

Where are you located? Do you travel for shoots?

 we are located in westlake village, ca. In the past we travelled often for many destination weddings. Now that we have 2 kids it makes things a lot trickier, but we will absolutely still travel. This year we have weddings in Napa and Hawaii to name a couple that require travel.

What makes you different than other photographers? 

we treat our studio as a business and focus on customer service first and foremost. we answer emails and actually return phone calls. Ha ha! (you would be surprised at how many people do not call back leads)  oh, and we take great photos too!

How do you make wedding and engagement sessions different?

 we bring a sense of fun and style to everything we shoot. we try to bring something new to every single client so that they all get something original

Is supporting independent businesses like yours important to you, and if so, why? 

absolutely. we love small business. it's great to be able to talk to a small shop and get results versus being lost in the land of automated phone recordings that lead you nowhere.

What types of photography do you offer? 

weddings, commercial, editorial, protraits, babies, families, etc, etc, etc.
