Vintage Fashion Forward Special Guest: Two Ways To Wear It: Vintage Blouse
Please help me in welcoming our special guest Christina of Cookie Louise Pleaze!
Hello, my name is Christina and I run the blog Cookie Louise Pleaze. I began thrifting early on during high school in an attempt to carve out a style all my own. After spending much of my childhood living with my grandparents I developed an affinity for all things classic. I have recently begun a home based vintage boutique catering to women’s fashions. I believe every woman should have the opportunity to feel beautiful and unique!
I reside in Corpus Christi, Texas with my husband and four pets Cookie Louse, Roxi Bear, Henrietta and Lucille.
Two Ways to Wear it:
This 1950s blouse was a part of that massive estate that I scored a couple of months ago. After a good washing I wanted to give it a try since wearing vintage blouses isn’t something I normally do. I thought that styling this top would be especially difficult because of its length and size but I was wrong. This is something that can easily become a vintage staple in your closet with enough imagination!
First, I decided to go with a 70’s menswear vibe. I paired the blouse with some high waisted bootcut jeans, a rust colored blazer, lots of jewelry and peep toe oxfords. This look was easily worn to the office and I felt fancy all day.

For the second look I went a little dressier but still office appropriate. I think it’s important to be able to showcase your own personal style even in an office environment. I like to dress a little outside the box without sacrificing professionalism and you can too.

Thank you again for having me here on your wonderful site! I’m over the moon today!!
Love the style! So creative.
There are so many things I like about your two looks. Little details like the lapel in, and the sleeves pushed up. So casual chic. And under the LBD, a great way to make a cocktail dress office appropriate. Thanks for sharing!
what a babe!! i love both these styles and your glasses in the second one…amazing!!
