Red Shoes is this amazing store located 332 South Ashley Ann Arbor MI 48104. To me, this store is like a little slice of heaven!

This has to be one of my favorite things about the Red Shoes store. If you look closely to the left you will notice a little red fairy door! This artistic treasure is a must see when you stop at Red Shoes. This particular door was made by a local artist and is a specialty door made just for Red Shoes. However, if you need a little whimsy  you can purchase a fairy door when you shop. Yep, that’s right they offer little pint sized doors in different colors. When the door arrives you install in yourself, sprinkle a little fairy dust and welcome the fairies in! Talk about a wonderful thing to get the imaginative juices flowing with your little ones!

(Edited to note the artist who created the fully detailed red door pictured left. Click the picture to visit Urban Fairies.)

I’m super thrilled that you can also shop online which is great if you live far away like I do. I’m seriously considering a trip to Ann Arbor though. If you can make it out to Red Shoes we’d love to hear about your trip! Their store hours are Monday through Saturday 10-6 and by appointment. If you are lucky enough to have one of the adorable fairy doors where you’re at we’d love to see a picture!

Thanks to Catherine owner of Red Shoes for her imagination and hard work to offer vintage lovers alike such a creative and beautiful shop!

  1. ummm…
You can purchase a “fairy door” at Red Shoes… BUT it is NOT the same as you see in the Red Shoes building. Catherine did not install that… though she does keep an eye on it.
