House & Home: Lighting

I've always wanted a chandelier for our master bedroom. The problem is, when it comes to our bedroom. I have no sense of style or direction. We went for a complete masculine slate blue color for our, since it is quite large. (our master bath is way more feminine)  Our goal is to add crown moulding and redo the floors. Other than that, I don't know what direction I'd like to go accept for the  lighting.

We currently have a large fan over our bed, and I don't think my hubby will ever want to give it up. My hope is to have a feminine chandelier on my side of the bed. Possibly hanging from the corner.

This one is from CSN, they have quite a large collection.

What about you? Do you have a chandelier in your master? Does it serve a purpose? I like to read in bed and hope this addition will make a nice touch to my corner.
