VI Headliner – Glitter and Grunge
Vintage Indie’s Featured sponsor Glitter and Grunge is back with a special announcement and a look at a couple more artists from their wonderful site.
Vintage Indie – Any special announcements, upcoming events coming up?
Glitter and Grunge – We are partnering with Handmade Parade this spring to offer a whole
new side to the artists co-op. We’ll be introducing a pattern and kit site where our members can sell their original patterns and
create kits for people to make their own versions of some of our
members signature items. DIY is such a phenomenon right now. Our
customers not only enjoy buying finished pieces by our members, they
want to be a part of the creations. They want to get their hands dirty and create along with us and we want to help them.
Handmade Parade has been a regional craft fair in Sacramento, but
now we are going to be taking the craft fair to the next level and in the next year or so we will be planning an event where crafters can come together and sell their wares, but also learn how to do different things from printing, sewing, fiber arts and more. We are still in the planning stages of this (and the fact that I am now 5 months pregnant with my third child) so our time line is a bit fuzzy. I wanted to shoot for the fall and just tote the little one along, but my husband wasn’t as keen on that as I was, hahaha!
Babies or not, we have some really exciting things planned for the coming year!

I found these adorable Peas and Carrots tea towels from Noththreads by Angela Bate. These are just perfect for spring .
I also fell in love with this Boutique Handmade Vintage Cildren’s Sun Dress from Noththreads It’s created with many different vintage components including the zipper, buttons and fabric.
Head over to Glitter and Grunge, visit the artist page and get lost in a world of handmade bliss.
We’re in the Bay Area, and I’d love to hear more about your craft show idea when the time comes!
The tea towels and little dress are so sweet!
